Quran Racer app for iPhone and iPad

Quran Racer is an innovative game that challenges the player to interact with The Quran on an intricate level. Combining traditional gaming elements with formulaic puzzle games.

The user is tasked to track every letter, vowel and symbol from the start of a verse until the end. The game requires user interaction that results in colouring the verse as they progress. The visual feedback stimulates word and pattern recognition in a player as they progress and learn to anticipate the next input. Whilst reading the user will begin to connect sounds to letters and symbols increasing their knowledge of letter-sound correspondences and phonological awareness skills that are the basic building blocks of literacy learning.

As the user builds their confidence, they can attempt the ‘Quran Guardian’ difficulty to re-type the verse from memory. This will challenge a user to recall the sounds and their corresponding letters and symbols from memory while they are reciting repeatedly to themselves as they re-type the verse. Such tasks are known to boost visual acuity, problem solving and neural activity.

Quran Racer uses a scoring system based on a user’s speed, fluency and accuracy. You can track your score, rank, progress and completed revisions of each chapter. This app is the first of its kind, have fun playing while passively learning and memorising The Quran!
